When I was looking for a portable mast, I saw telescopic aluminum masts at most dealers. Actually, all have looked exactly the same and there I had the idea to build such a mast simply myself.
After a short research at various metal dealers it was clear that I can build such a mast myself considerably cheaper. Of course, it is an advantage to work for a mechanical engineering company, where I can use all the machine tools in my spare time. The purchase of materials through the company then brings a discount of one or two percent on the purchase price.
So first I designed the mast in 3D-CAD and then I went to the production.
